    Apprenticeship in Switzerland

With around 70 apprentices, Syntegon is one of the largest training companies in the region. In close cooperation with the training center Wibilea AG in Neuhausen, we train highly qualified specialists in technical and commercial professions. For our apprenticeships, we guarantee the highest level, an exciting environment and top support.

If you are interested in an apprenticeship at our Beringen site in Switzerland, the Wibilea AG training center in Neuhausen will take care of the first steps. This is where the basic apprenticeship years take place, which last between 6 months and 2 years, depending on the occupation and the level of proficiency. The application phase up to successful completion of the apprenticeship then takes place in the training company at Syntegon in Beringen.

In Switzerland, we train in seven apprenticeships (3 or 4 years), all with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ): polymechanics, automation engineers, design engineers, IT specialist, logistics specialists, mediamatics as well as businesswomen and businessmen.

You can find more detailed information about our apprenticeships, the application process and possible orientation internships on the Wibilea AG website.
Together with Wibilea AG we are looking forward to your application!

    FAQ

You apply online by submitting your resume, cover letter and your latest transcripts. Afterwards you will receive a link to an online test. Once you have completed it, we will review your application and test score. Based on this, we will create a shortlist. If you have made it to the next round, we will be in touch to get to know you better, either in a personal interview or on a selection day. After that, we will get back to you with an acceptance or rejection decision. Were you accepted? Then we look forward to welcoming you to the first day of your apprenticeship at Syntegon in September!

Every year, you can apply from May onwards for the following apprenticeship year via our online portal. Usually, all positions are filled by the end of the previous year. This means that you should apply for your apprenticeship one year before you finish school.

Your monthly salary in the first year of apprenticeship will be approx. €1,000 (gross). In the following apprenticeship years, this will increase incrementally.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship with us, you need at least a secondary modern school qualification.

Let’s take the mechatronics apprenticeship as an example: In your first year of training, you will be taught the basics to ensure that you can start the second year well prepared for how the company runs. In the next step, you will deepen and further develop your previous knowledge. You will stay 6-8 weeks in each department that is relevant for you, in order to get to know the company inside and out. In the final year of training, you will be assigned to your target area, the one in which you plan to continue working after the end of your apprenticeship. Exam preparation and further training will take place in the workshops. In this way, you will be ideally prepared for your final exam. Throughout your training at Syntegon, you will be mentored by your instructor.

You have a feedback session with your instructor every six months and as required.

You have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of training courses. These include a first aid course, technical English courses, and the opportunity to complete a crane operator’s license. Moreover, you can acquire an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences while completing your apprenticeship with us.

You will start your career as an internal assembler. Soon, however, you will join more experienced coworkers on external assemblies. Moreover, you will have the chance to advance to the level of a special assembler or lead assembler, and to broaden your horizons in other areas.

Wibilea AG is responsible for the basic training of our apprentices in Switzerland. They also take care of the application process, which you can see here:

Wibilea takes care of the first steps of the training of our future professionals.
The basic apprenticeship years take place at the Wibilea and last between 6 months and 2 years, depending on the profession and the characteristics. Afterwards, the apprentices work in the company.
During the basic apprenticeship, the apprentices attend inter-company courses depending on the model.
The overview of the respective apprenticeships and how the basic training can be embedded in the apprenticeship can be seen on the Wibilea homepage (> Offers).

After the multi-faceted basic training at Wibilea, you enter the activities of the apprenticeship company with a full rucksack as a fully-fledged employee with a short training period.
The application phase up to successful completion of the apprenticeship then takes place at the Syntegon training company. Training at the Beringen site follows a clear concept for all apprenticeships with excellent support (around 40 vocational trainers).
Our dedicated vocational trainers and the apprentice commissioners encourage your full potential and teach you all the skills you need to succeed as a specialist in everyday working life and give you an ideal start to your professional future.
