With the new packaging solution for recyclable vacuum packaging, Syntegon is contesting the supreme discipline of coffee packaging under new requirements: with the help of a redesigned heat- sealing concept for mono-material, coffee can still be packaged at the highest speed.

The know-how extends beyond 50 years, because that is how long the Package Maker PKD has been on the market and thus there are many installed machines worldwide. The trademark of the PKD is its 28 vacuum chambers, which enable a degassing process at the highest speed of 130 packages per minute, ensuring the finest coffee aroma. Despite particularly gentle processing, the machine allows highest output 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The low material consumption of this sustainable solution is another benefit.

The "Next Generation" of PKD also features the Synexio Empower IoT-solution. This allows process data to be evaluated in real-time and optimized as required, either on premise or cloud-based. Transparency can be used, for example, to minimize downtimes, improve energy consumption values, and plan cleaning processes and maintenance more efficiently.
