Tablet compression with the Syntegon TPR tablet press machines

Tablet presses are still the most popular Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) form. However, successful drug development is challenging. At Syntegon we develop tablet press machines that are ideally suited for both pharmaceutical and nutrition and health products. Our TPR series consists of compression tablet press featuring our renowned quality and an excellent price-performance ratio. The tablet press machine portfolio answers the growing need for high efficiency, easy maintenance and operation – from R&D and pilot scale to high volume production. The same software is deployed throughout the TPR range. Its feeder and turret design also make the TPR tablet press series suited for MUPS (Multiple Unit Pellet System) tablets.

Integrated turret removal system

Accomplish complete product changeovers in less than one hour! Turret removal is even possible in only fifteen minutes without having to remove the upper and lower punches and their cam tracks.

Fast and easy cleaning

The TPR tablet press series offers a compact, hygienic design. It minimizes the production area allowing for fast and simple cleaning according to cGMP standards.

Powder feeding system

Our tablet press modular system offers a two-paddle design with single or individually controlled paddle speeds. A third paddle can be added to assist smooth product flows.

FlexiTab XL: Tablet press for R&D

As a single punch machine for both R&D and galenics, the FlexiTab XL tablet press machine can produce a large range of tablet and oblong shapes (using up to three APIs in multiple layers) and analyzed them with the enhanced DAQ software.

TPR 700: Tablet press for high volume production

This high-speed, double-sided tablet press delivers over one million tablets per hour and handles pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, confectionery, and more with advanced technology.

This single station tablet press with enhanced DAQ software is designed for R&D and galenics. As a single punch machine, the FlexiTab XL is ideal for early stage tablet development, clinical trial batches, the screening of powders or granules for subsequent product development, as well as the assessment of multi-layer drug dosing and characterization of powder properties. A large range of tablet and oblong shapes can be produced creating many layers, using up to three APIs. The formulator can manually or automatically sequence tablet production.

TPR 200 is a highly flexible and robust rotary tablet press for both R&D and small to medium size production batches. Thanks to a small footprint, this highly efficient tablet compression machine is economic and very compact. It is capable of producing approx. 230,000 tablets per hour, including bi-layer tablets with a set of conversion parts. The machine is easy to operate and to clean. Its range of functions is optimized to suit all tablet manufacturers who want to improve their Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Reduced maintenance and cleaning efforts thanks to its hygienic design, as well as fast and easy changeovers enable you to better focus on production. The TPR 500 provides high output and yield capabilities at an excellent price-performance ratio. With a 56 station die table, the tablet press can produce up to 403,200 tablets per hour with standard tooling on a very small footprint. Our unique integrated die technology enables you to produce up to 16 mm tablets.

The TPR 700 is the largest tablet press of the TPR series and capable of producing more than a million tablets per hour. This highly flexible machine is suited for a wide range of compressible products including pharmaceutical, confectionery (mints), nutraceutical (vitamins), medicated lozenges and non-pharmaceutical materials. The high speed, double-sided press features the latest technological advances in hardware and software. It can also produce bi-layer tablets with a set of conversion parts. Reduced width corner pillars provide excellent access to the production area. When using the exchangeable turret option, you can achieve an even wider range of tablet sizes and outputs.

The TPR 200 Plus is a newly upgraded and very compact, medium output tablet press machine with great flexibility, improved handling and advanced operator protection. The ideal range of application is for R&D and clinical production activities, but it also copes with machine requirements for small and medium batch production environments. This tablet press is capable of producing approx. 230,000 tablets per hour, including bilayer tablets. Options include an OEB 3 protection cabin with glove port access and dry cleaning possibility.

APD-feeder

Automated Process Development (APD) for tablet compression

Our new, automatically adjustable powder feeder and the APD software for tablet presses offer pharmaceutical manufacturers a complete package to determine the ideal process parameters for each product and easily transfer them to production machines. The APD tool, based on Design of Experiments (DoE), achieves faster and more precise results with much less product. The new powder feeding system is specifically tailored to the TPR 200 tablet press machine.
