Syntegon offers different technology options to stack cookies, biscuits or crackers: Pick-and-Place solutions or flat handling with linear motor technology. Syntegon's packaging solutions ensure careful handling of the fragile cookies, and stack them quickly and precisely in exact piles in the desired number or height.

This prevents scratched surfaces and broken corners. Only good products will be packaged. The cookies also benefit from a uniquely attractive presentation when the packaging is opened. Flexible line with vibratory channels

Flexibility is enabled by the integration of linear motor technology. Syntegon has extensive experience in applying linear motors to the packaging process. The technology is very robust, allows for a highly compact design. It offers important benefits such as flat and on-edge pack styles on the same machine, including quick format changes as well as advanced gentle handling.

Key information:

Vibratory channel capacity: Up to 10,000 crackers or biscuits
Flow wrapper (flat stacked): Up to 270 pile packs per minute in various formats
Flow wrapper (on-edge slug): Up to 145 slug packs per minute in various formats
Sideload case packer: Loads up to 160 packs into 20 cases per minute

This solution is ideal for manufacturers who process large quantities of crackers or plain biscuits. The system offers robust technology and great flexibility on a small footprint. To complete the system and to benefit from a fully automated solution, Syntegon offers a range of endload and topload cartoning options as well as RSC and wraparound case packers.

Product infeed flat on belts: 1,600 products per minute
Flow wrapper (flat stacked): Up to 320 pile packs per minute in various formats
Flow wrapper (on-edge slug): Up to 95 slug packs per minute in various formats

This system is ideal for manufacturers who produce very delicate cookies, crackers or biscuits. The products may be very thin or brittle, such as gluten-free biscuits. Advanced gentle handling reduces breakage and product loss. To complete the system and to benefit from a fully automated solution, Syntegon offers a range of endload and topload cartoning options as well as RSC and wraparound case packers.

Robotic system solution, capping and tray loading

Delta robotic picker line

Central to the system is a pick-and-place line consisting of several delta robots to first cap the sandwich cookies and then to load them flat into trays. The complete system solution includes all process steps from cookie capping, product distribution, tray loading, flow wrapping, cartoning and case packing – all in one seamless system.

Key Information:

Product infeed: Over 3,000 cookies per minute
Tray loading: Up to 1,200 cookies loaded into 600 trays per minute
Delta robots: Max 120 cycles per minute per robot

Innovative and highly compact pick-and-place solution for flat or on-edge packaging

Linear motor picker line

This pick-and-place solution takes proven linear motor technology to the next level. Four pack styles can be produced on one highly compact system: pile configurations in trays or in flow wraps and slug configurations in trays or in flow wraps.

Key information:

Product infeed: Up to 1,500 products per minute in a random pattern on the infeed belt
Pick-and-place: Picker bar with up to 35 vacuum grippers in one row, precisely controlled by linear motors, single and double pick possible
Sealing technology: Tight packs with Amplified Heat Sealing, suitable for mono-material
Film speed: Up to 60 meters per minute

The system is interesting for manufacturers with limited production space and high requirements in terms of gentle handling. Linear motors ensure smooth movements to minimize product breakage, while the up to 35 vacuum grippers handle sensitive products gently. Manufacturers can adjust the number of pickers to accommodate the width of the conveyor belt or changes in production volume. All machines, including cartoning and case packing, combined to a seamless Syntegon system provide very high levels of efficiency on a small footprint.
