Instead of using polymer film, the new solution enables production of dust-tight packaging for dry products such as sugar, grains, flour or powders using sustainable mono-material paper, which contains no additional polymer fractions.

Bosch Packaging Technology and Grupo Hubapac S.A. de C.V. start a joint venture under the name of BOPATEC S.A. de C.V. in Mexico City, Mexico. BOPATEC is representing the entire Bosch Packaging Technology portfolio in the pharmaceutical and food segment and related services in Mexico.

Bosch Packaging Technology and Klenzaids Contamination Controls Pvt Ltd. are operating a joint venture. The Indian company produces processing, packaging, and clean-room technology for the global pharmaceutical industry. Bosch acquires 49 percent of Klenzaids shares.

With the take over of SIG pack (today Syntegon Packaging Systems AG), which holds a minority share, the Rotzinger AG becomes a partner of Bosch Packaging Technology. The Swiss company based in Kaiseraugst, is a leading provider of equipment "in between processing and packaging,” such as conveyer and storage systems.


With 51 percent, Bosch takes over the majority share of Moeller & Devicon A/S in Sandved, Denmark. The remaining 49 percent follows in 2007. The company designs and manufactures machinery for the pharmaceutical and medtech industries.

Bosch Lab Systems (BLS) is founded at the Transfer Center Venture Capital of Robert Bosch GmbH in Weilimdorf/Germany. BLS provides technology for High Throughput Experimentation and Lab Automation.


Foundation of Valicare GmbH as a full subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Valicare is a service provider offering qualification and validation of production and laboratory equipment for the pharmaceutical and life science industries.

Makat Candy Technology GmbH, based in Dierdorf, Germany, joins the Bosch family. The company, founded in 1929, manufactures machinery for the production of jellies, hard candy, pralines, chocolate, fondant and other sweets in a variety of forms, colors, sizes and flavors.


The Chinese location in Hangzhou starts business with 14 associates, initially focusing on capsule filling machines.
