Synexio: the basis for shared success

One of the first Synexio installations shows how Syntegon and a long-time customer were able to improve upon the software through close collaboration. During the initial stages of the project, the team’s attention was drawn to the lack of an efficient way to compare shift-based performance. KPIs had to be calculated manually four times a day. This prompted the experts to combine information that was already being gathered into a new one-click shift filter that displays live production data and significantly simplifies comparisons. This new feature is now a standard within Synexio, contributing to its performance for all users.

Utilizing these features in practice can, in turn, also shape and form the basis for successful collaboration, as was the case with a customer who suddenly experienced unexplainable stops on a line with four Syntegon machines. Finding the root cause proved a challenge, as the machines themselves performed well when not stopped. In a joint effort, the teams from the customer and Syntegon set out to find, fix, and pre-empt the problem.

Synexio finally revealed the underlying issue: Misaligned product from third-party, upstream equipment was causing jams, alarms, and eventually stops. When the engineering team performed targeted adjustments to the machine in question, production stabilized immediately, and line efficiency soon reached over 96%. Syntegon now knows exactly which metrics to consult and will be able to help other customers with similar problems much faster. What’s more, this customer now connects all its equipment with Synexio – a clear vote of confidence.
