Beringen, December 15, 2023. In the run-up to Christmas, Syntegon organized a wishing tree campaign at its Beringen site in a joint initiative with the Schönhalde and Ungarbühl foundations. In keeping with the campaign motto, Verpacken für einen guten Zweck, employees brought joy to locals in need of support. (Verpacken means both packaging and wrapping in German). The company handed over more than 90 gifts to the two foundations.

The end of the year is approaching, and with it the season of giving and reflection. Syntegon is taking this opportunity to champion a good cause. Members of various sites workforces’ rose to the “Packaging for a good cause” challenge, fulfilling the wishes of people whose lives have been impacted by mental health, addiction, and other issues. All participants knew what needed to be done: Choose a wish, get a present, and – of course – wrap it up nicely.

On December 14, Syntegon product management and marketing staffers Stephan Schüle, Cornelia Harodt, and Hareja Llapatinca presented 91 gifts to Patrick Vögele, chairman of Schönhalde Foundation, and René Hotz, chairman of the Ungarbühl Foundation. The latter are going to distribute the gifts to the residents of various group homes.

The Schönhalde Foundation in Neuhausen am Rheinfall provides residential and day care facilities for adults with mental health and addiction-related issues. Ungarbühl in Schaffhausen offers a place for people with developmental disabilities to live and work. Both foundations support people with a wide range of services that are tailored to the different stages of life and the needs of the individual.

“Bringing joy and providing support to the community in our region is so very important to us – especially with Christmas approaching. Our colleagues made that happen with their determined efforts,” says Syntegon product manager Stephan Schüle.
