Discover RackSter, steam-sterilizable mobile multirack system for automated, gloveless sterile parts transfer and faster aseptic batch changeovers.
Key takeaways
- RackSter: mobile, steam sterilizable multirack system for automated, gloveless aseptic transfer of sterile parts during batch changeovers, replacing manual handling of conventional RTP containers
- High parts capacity in a single unit enables faster changeovers with just one docking step and significantly reduced manual effort
- Fully Annex 1 compliant solution with reduced contamination risk, designed for high efficiency and an attractive return on investment
Anyone involved in the aseptic filling of liquid pharmaceuticals knows the challenge all too well: How can format parts be transferred out of and back into isolators without human intervention? Until now, this process has involved numerous manual steps. Sterile parts must be transferred in numerous RTP containers, costing pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers as well as CDMOs a lot of valuable time – and ultimately money. We have developed a groundbreaking, fully Annex 1 compliant solution that fundamentally changes aseptic component transfer during batch changeovers.
All in one system
RackSter is the new patented, mobile multirack containment system from Syntegon. Thanks to a high level of automation and only one required docking operation, it significantly shortens batch changeover times, while at the same time reducing contamination risk and increasing both filling line availability and throughput. In combination with our gloveless, fully integrated SynTiso filling platform and its newly designed automated linear stopper sorting system, RackSter unfolds its true value.
In one single smart solution, RackSter provides a capacity that, depending on part geometry and holder configuration, is comparable to the capacity of up to 12 conventional RTP containers. By connecting the mobile vessel to a central media station, the contained components inside are steam-sterilized, followed by drying and cooling. Upon completion of the sterilization cycle, the vessel is transferred back to the isolator and docked to the dedicated RTP port. From that point on, all components are transferred fully automatically and in the correct sequence, eliminating the need for manual handling.
Your benefits at a glance
- Fully automated sterile parts transfer into isolators
- Significantly shorter batch changeovers
- Up to 90 percent fewer docking operations compared to RTP containers
- Lower contamination risk, minimal manual handling
- Higher filling line availability and increased throughput
