With roots stretching back over 150 years to the banks of the Willow River in New Richmond, Wisconsin, Doboy's story is one of American ingenuity, industrial perseverance, and packaging innovation.

    Founded from a humble sawmill built in 1855, the company evolved through the decades under several names, including Doughboy Mills Inc., Doughboy Industries, and Domain Industries, before establishing a firm foothold in the packaging industry. The Doboy name became synonymous with quality and reliability, pioneering technologies such as the rotary sealer in the 1930s. By the 1940s, the newly formed Mechanical Division was serving major brands like DuPont, Eastman Kodak, and Kraft.

    From the first band sealers in 1946 to the revolutionary horizontal wrappers of the 1960s and the development of the Servotronic wrapper in 1984, Doboy remained at the forefront of packaging innovation. Even through shifts in ownership, including acquisitions by Nordson, SIG Swiss Industrial Company, and later Bosch, the company continued to grow its capabilities and global presence.

    In 2020, the Doboy brand became part of Syntegon, following the divestiture of the entire Bosch Packaging Technology division. Doboy, based in New Richmond, Wisconsin, is now one of several key Syntegon sites worldwide. Syntegon builds on the strength of multiple respected industry names, such as Sigpack, Elematic, and Kliklok, combining decades of experience into a single global leader in processing and packaging technology.
