Dr Michael Grosse
Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO
Michael Grosse is Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Syntegon Technology. He is also temporarily responsible for the Food business unit.
Michael Grosse studied mechanical engineering and business administration in Brunswick, Regensburg and Munich and holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering. He has worked for Tetra Pak since 2003 and was appointed to the Management Board in 2006. In this capacity he was, amongst other things, responsible for the expansion of the global services business. Moreover, he held several leadership positions in Research and Product Development. Before joining Tetra Pak, he worked at BMW and Ford for several years.
Dr Walter Bickel
Member of the Executive Board, CFO, CTO
Walter Bickel is a member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Syntegon Technology. As Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) he is also responsible for the company’s transformation process.
Walter Bickel holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Cologne. He is an expert for transformation, restructuring and growth acceleration programs and has professional experience in the process and packaging industry. Between 2014 and 2018, he led the foil manufacturer Treofan, first as CFO and later as CEO. Prior to that, he held different leadership positions in the mechanical engineering and automotive industry. This includes positions as COO of the robot manufacturer KUKA and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Finnish machine builder Maillefer Group.
Uwe Harbauer, Dipl.-Ing.
Member of the Executive Board, Pharma
Uwe Harbauer is a member of the Executive Board at Syntegon Technology and head of the business unit Pharma.
Harbauer graduated in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt and worked as a sales director at Instron Schenck Testing GmbH. In 2000, he joined Bosch Packaging Technology as head of sales for the business unit Pharma before accepting a position as head of the business unit Services. Harbauer has been head of the business unit Pharma since 2013. In 2017, he joined the executive board at Robert Bosch Packaging Technology GmbH.
Member of the Executive Board, Service & Digital Solutions
Johan Nilsson is a member of the Executive Board at Syntegon Technology and head of the business unit Service & Digital Solutions.
Nilsson studied engineering at the Polhemskolan in Lund, Sweden and graduated in 1986. From 2002 to 2004 he completed an Executive Master of Business Administration at the Executive Foundation Lund. He started his career in 1987 as a trainee at Tetra Pak and was promoted to Head of Services in 2012. From 2018 Nilsson was Head of Service & Industry 4.0 Solutions at Tetra Pak before joining Syntegon in September 2020.
