Manual inspection is the cornerstone of visual inspection. It is still the most common method for performing visual inspection of parenteral liquids. It sets the benchmark for an acceptable product and establishes the baseline for validation. Manual inspection hoods from Syntegon are ideally suited for small lots, re-inspection of rejects/ejects, and batch releases. The VIS semi-automated visual inspection series is the perfect hybrid solution between manual inspection and automated inspection.
The MIH-Port is equipped with a black and white background, and a uniform, non-glaring light source, optimizing the inspector's ability to identify particle and cosmetic defects while minimizing fatigue. LED lighting and a reversible gray background are standard for this model. The white base with padded elbow rests can be closed for compact storage or portability using the carrying handle.
Benefits:
The MIH DX features stainless steel construction with courtesy side shields, adjustable non-glaring black and white background, acoustical foam-lined interior, and two single light intensity LED lighting fixtures
Benefits:
The MIH-DL is an advanced manual inspection system that provides an optimal environment for the inspection of difficult to inspect parenteral drugs.
Benefits:
The MIH LX features a programmable inspection time/pacing system with sensor verification of the container and inspector’s hand in the inspection zone. Other standard features include matte, black-finished aluminum construction, non-glaring black and white with reversible gray background, a white base with padded elbow rests and two single light intensity LED lighting fixtures.
Benefits:
The MIH-1 workstation provides a productive work environment by improving the lighting and ergonomics and minimizing co-worker interruptions or other distracting influences. An aluminum frame with casters is equipped with a lift system allowing rapid height adjustment from 30 to 46 in. (76 to 117 cm) for inspection from standing or sitting positions.
Benefits:
The MIH-1S is a variant of our MIH-1 manual inspection system that provides an optimal environment for inspection of sterile injectable products in vial, ampoule, syringe and cartridge containers. It serves as a standalone inspection station and has a lift system for height adjustment.
This 36” (91,4 cm) wide model is designed to fit in smaller spaces and allows our clients the flexibility to have a standalone unit in spaces where our standard 60” (152,4 cm) model would be too large.
Benefits:
The MIH-IV features a sliding hook, which enables the operator to hang the IV bag for inspection. The hook easily slides for a seamless transition from one side of the black and white background to the next. This motion triggers particulate movement, enhances inspection capability and operator ergonomics.
Benefits:
Options: Additional lower lighting fixture
The APK is a table-top visual observation tool for particle inspection. We offer different models with various lighting systems, spin functions and additional special features depending on your requirements, container type and the size range.
Benefits:
VIS 200 and VIS 500 semi-automated inspection systems facilitate visual inspection of vials containing liquids, powdered or lyophilized products, as well as empty vials. Compared to the manual system, the VIS series achieves higher inspection rates and reduces operator fatigue. Vials are moved into an optimized viewing area and rotated. Accepted or rejected vials are sent into separate areas, as manually directed by the operator.
Benefits:
The VIS 1000 complements our semi-automated inspection portfolio with an even more efficient and user-friendly inspection solution for liquids, powders, and freeze-dried products in vials. Container infeed, transport, and the reject of identified faulty objects occur automatically. The VIS 1000 facilitates the operator's detection of particles and cosmetic defects: By rotating the vial at high speed, potential particles are stirred up before inspection. Additionally, the object is rotated by 360° during inspection. Various lighting options from the top, front, back, and bottom, as well as mirror and magnifier options, further simplify the detection of faulty products.

“We were able to systematically identify and adapt crucial sections within our filling and sealing processes, to make them more stable and reduce the number of unnecessary rejects even further. In fact, our performance is increasing from week to week.”
– Philippe Truelle, CEO of CDM Lavoisier
CDM Lavoisier decided to change their inspection processes for no less than 30 products in four different packaging formats. They are now all inspected on the AIM 3000 from Syntegon.
“This challenging project required a lot of dedication and expertise. In cooperation with Syntegon, we have implemented the world-first syringe inspection machine with AI and underline our market position, both in biotechnology production and in technology.”
– Manuel Soto, Principal Process Development Engineer at Amgen
Amgen, one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies, uses our AI-equipped inspection machine to reliably distinguish air bubbles at the syringe’s rubber stopper from foreign particles.
